Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage (CGEN) 2017 celebrated its thirteenth year as Queensland's largest youth performing arts event at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 1800 students from Prep to Year 12 represented state schools from from as far north as Weipa, Winton in the west and Palm Beach in south-east Queensland.

CGEN aims to mentor and foster the next generation of performers and provides opportunities for them to work with and learn from professional artists.
