In commemoration of the signing of the Armistice,Voices of Remembrance focuses on the history and legacy of the community during the First World War.
Featuring performances by award winning songstress Katie Noonan and renowned New Zealand baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes, under the musical direction of Dr Jonathon Welch, the concert will be sound-tracked by songs of remembrance, as a reflection of war and peace. The repertoire of music during this evening of performance will include anthems that capture the spirit of the First World War such asKeep the Home Fires Burning,and other Australian music written during this time, along with contemporary pieces – including a new composition by Gordon Hamilton.
